Why does the calculator round material up?+
Most building materials are purchased in whole sheets, rolls, boxes, bags, gallons, bundles, or pieces, so partial units need to be rounded up.
Should I use the default waste percentage?+
The default is only a planning estimate. Increase it for diagonal layouts, complex rooms, fragile materials, or first-time installation.
